So, a new series is beginning, Outfit Of The Month! This is also a photoshoot. These photos were taken at my grandparents house a week ago.
Tank top: Doll Diaries Reader Photo Contest prize (put on backwards)
Sweater: Kit’s meet sweater
Skirt: Molly’s meet skirt
Shoes: Marie-Grace’s summer outfit boots (the outfit is retired)
Hairbow: Neon sequined hairbow from Target (it’s actually mine)
Her freckles were drawn on with a washable Crayola marker. By the way, how do you like the pretty spring-ish owl design on this blog? I’m not sure if I will keep it, though.
Today I am showing you The Girls Of Many Lands dolls. These dolls were from American Girl, but were discontinued. They are each from a different place, and they come with a book telling their story. These dolls are smaller, but they remind me of Hearts For Hearts dolls.
First, this is my favorite, Isabelle. She is from England and has a very good book. Her outfit is extremely detailed and well made.
This is my second favorite, Cecile. She is from France. I love her outfit-right down to the tiny, “ostrich feather” fan. Her book is also very good.
This is my third favorite, Neela. She is from India, and has a very cool outfit. Her book is good too, but truth be told, all of the books are good except for Minook’s-I haven’t read hers.
This is Saba, she is from Ethiopia. Her linen dress is beautifully embroidered and I like her cross necklace, too.
Lastly, we have Minook, who is from Alaska. She is okay, but the only thing I really like about her are her beaded earrings.
There are some other dolls in this line as well. One of them I would love to have-her name is (I think) Kathryn, she is from Ireland and she is an Irish dancer. My sister has her book that she found at a thrift store.
I haven’t done a photostory in forever!
Amelia was on her way to PetCo on a lovely spring day! Look, there’s the sign!
She slipped down an aisle and spotted a cute dog in a kennel. “Aww, such a cute doggie!” She cooed. The dog’s tail thumped happily against the floor.
Amelia reached the fish aisle. “So many pretty fish to choose from!” She thought.
So she chose two, bright orange fish that came in a special deal bundle with a fish bowl, turquoise gravel, plants, and fish food. Amelia picked up the bowl and carried it to the cash register.
“Such pretty fish you picked. That’ll be $12, please.” The lady at the cash register said with a smile. Amelia fished in her pocket and handed the lady the money.
Amelia walked home with a spring in her step. Up in her room, she placed the fishbowl on her nightstand. “I think I’ll name you two Bloop and Bubble.” She decided aloud.
Then she opened the can of fish food and sprinkled a little in the bowl.
The end! 🙂
It’s hard to believe, but true……I’ve had this blog for an entire year! My first post was my American Girl dolls having a Valentine’s Day tea party. Thanks for an entire year with me!
I reached five followers recently……thank you!
Get ready for another year of dolly fun!
